Large long decks present unique challenges to both manufacturers and installers. In response Tek-Dek International used its long expertise in plastic floor extrusion and designed Cruise Ship, a revolutionary new patented commercial ship and super yacht deck. Suitable for both interior and outside areas, this new decking not only replicates the look of new laid teak, but is hard wearing, colour stable and has excellent slip resistance both wet and dry.
Made from the highest quality U.V. stable materials, it is the worlds first tri-extruded decking incorporating state of the art technology that prevents shrinkage and facilitates a perfect watertight seam every time. Fully adhered to the deck, there are no potential leaks nor the rust marks associated with conventional decking. The Dovelock underside allows the deck to expand and contract slightly with temperature fluctuations whilst still holding it perfectly flat.
Unlike some systems, Cruise Ship is laid in-situ plank by plank. This eliminates possible damage from heavy unwieldy panels, bubbling due to trapped air pockets, ill fitting seams and allows the boat to be installed a section at a time freeing up areas for other work. Its unique non–shape conforming design insures straight caulk lines and top welding creates a seamless appearance and waterproof finish over the whole deck.
Much lighter than an equivalent teak deck and without all the upkeep, Cruise Ship is the obvious choice for continued good looks and low maintenance.
